What’s Up Doc? A new blog for PGRs from Vitae

Vitae is launching ‘What’s up doc?’, a forum for postgraduate researchers to exchange ideas on aspects of being a postgraduate researcher, especially personal, professional and career development.   Vitae is running an interactive training day for bloggers in Birmingham on 12 May, during which you will learn what makes a good blog post, how to increase your online profile and how to develop your social media networks effectively.  Places on the training event are limited.  If you are interested in contributing to the blog and would like to attend the training day, please post an example of an article onto www.vitae.ac.uk/whatsupdoc and send an email to tennie.videler@vitae.ac.uk before 25 April, outlining why you want to be involved, what you would do to champion ‘What’s up doc?’ and stating what discipline your research is in.  We will select participants for the training day based on your submissions and reimburse reasonable travel expenses.  To post on the blog, register on the Vitae website (www.vitae.ac.uk), go to the ‘dashboard’ in the top left hand of the screen, choose ‘my discussion articles’ and press go.
