This session is ideal for doctoral level students who are struggling to meet their writing goals. This is not an academic writing support session but an event in which everyone sits down, shuts up and writes.

How it works:
– People arrive, get coffee.
– Once everyone settles in, we all write for 25 minutes.
– After 25 minutes, we have a short break. Maybe grab more coffee.
– Then, everyone sits back down and writes for another 25 minutes
– Repeat

There will be some time set aside for goal setting and planning in order to make the most out of this session. During the 25 minute writing sessions there is NO talking, NO texting, NO checking emails, NO updating of statuses on social media – nothing but writing! If doesn’t matter what you write, as long as you use the session to write purposely.

If you are interested in taking part, we ask that you are prepared to participate for the duration of the event. If, for any reason, you cannot commit to staying the entire time (e.g. leave early, attend the last hour etc.) then please reconsider your application. Booking is taken on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited to 25 people.

The room will be open from 9:30am. Please arrive early enough to allow yourself time to settle in and be ready to start at 10am sharp. Latecomers will not be admitted so as not to disrupt the event.

• Plan beforehand about what you want to work on and do the reading/prep before you come
• Bring a laptop and power supply to work on. If you are unable to do so please contact us.
