A new initiative, ‘Minerals@manchester’ is being established to bring together a cross-disciplinary community of researchers who share an interest in all aspects of minerals, with the aim to foster interdisciplinary and inter-departmental research links. A key element of Minerals@Manchester is identifying the depth and breadth of research undertaken by postgraduate students within the university. The ultimate aim of the project is to establish a community across Manchester, which will be complied into a capability map on the forthcoming Minerals@Manchester website, making research visible to other researchers both within Manchester and from other institutions and organisations.
If your research has any tie to minerals or the minerals and mining sector, from research on granular flow dynamics or mineralogy to issues of corporate social responsibility in the extraction of natural materials, and you wish to be part of the Minerals@Manchester group, please send an email firstname.lastname@example.org
