With the General Election weeks away this is a critical time to advocate for social science.
On 22nd April the Campaign for Social Science visits the University of Manchester for a lunchtime event at Cordingley Lecture Theatre, Humanities Bridgeford Street. Sign up here.
The Business of People is the Campaign for Social Science’s pre-election report which makes a case to policy-makers for the value of social science to the UK’s society and economy. We are now touring around the UK to discuss the challenges and opportunities for social scientists in coming years. Attendees have responded positively to the events so far:
“Informative and interactive” //“Made me think about the issues and how they apply to my own work” // “A chance to hear about process and negotiating strategies”.
Wednesday 22nd April 12.30-2pm/ Lunch served from 12.30pm before the main session at 1pm.
After 2pm there will be a further chance to speak with the Campaign representatives.
